wild thing! | white turquoise + gold spike earrings

been playing a lot with white turquoise stones for the cyprus line. so imagine the delight that washed over me when i saw these little daggers of joy by new york-based jewelry designer kim dulaney. each earring is a piece of white turquoise wrapped in gold-plated metal with a flirtatious addition of a vintage chain. check out more of her pieces here.

shop it to me | ethereal dresses

the lorick inez dress. "gossomer silk gold threads spun together in a high collar shift. paired with a loose gold silk slip. 100 percent silk. belt not included.”
they had me at the whole elves spinning gold thread into the dress part.

Friday

shop it to me | anthropologie

there's so much to be said about this dress. it's stunning. the neckline has the perfect amount of volume (its also adjustable so you can open it up to showcase a necklace underneath), the material breathes, the color works as a neutral... (imagine this dress with mint green  heels...gold gladiators...or caramel wedges.. the possibilities are endless). and $98? pretty good for anthropologie.

shop it to me | dottie

stunning right? one hundred percent cotton and only $40!

the dolly pearl site blew me away. the materials... the construction...the originality.... the clothes speak for themselves. they are like works of art.

Thursday

shop it to me | sunday brunch

sunday brunch (a new york based boutique) features the loveliest feminine dresses. perhaps the secret to their success is that each dress they select for the boutique must meet three criteria:

1) can the dress go from day to night, brunch to drinks?
2) a good dress can be an investment, but shouldn’t require a loan.
3) like a classic novel, a classic dress can be revisited years later and be even better than before.

it’s the sort of online boutique that makes you want to tune out the madness of the city and trade your grande chai for a glass of ice cold sweet tea.

cuff em' | old gold boutique

when one thinks of canada the following things might come to mind: maple syrup, canadian bacon, south park, mike myers (yes, he is. just accept it), weird accents and do they really have an army? here's one more thing to add to that list: old gold boutique. there’s something inherently irresistible about their cuffs; perhaps it’s the contrast brought about by the delicate etching on such a cold, industrial, brass surface?

(wear this cuff aboot town.)

shop it to me | ruche

ruche—an aspiring online shop—is reminiscent of a crazy old aunt’s wild garden that was let go after her husband left her for a red-haired flamenco dancer with implants. ivy, nettles, and dandelions (the equivalent of polyester, rayon and acrylic) reign supreme in this shop but if you search hard and long enough you can find some reasonably-priced pretty flowers among the thorns. examples below.
